Michael Davy, born in Canton, Ohio, began his make up career with his father, Dick Davy in 1974 as a "Masker" for the Masonic Scottish Rite at age 12 where he learned basic character make up and beards.

In 1977 Michael's Rotary introduction began by being a Youth Exchange Student to Australia. He was hosted by the Healesville Rotary Club in Healesville, Victoria where he was that club's first Exchange Student and had 6 different host families. While in Australia he not only took a 2 week Range Rover trip through the outback to Alice Springs but was Second in Victoria for Healesville High School in Swimming.

After years of make up self instruction Michael received a full Swimming scholarship to Kent State University in 1980 where he majored in Pre law. While there he was a 4 year letterman and honed his craft working on College theater productions and local independent films including the cult classic “The Dead Next Door” in Akron. Ohio.

After College he relocated to Central Florida and continued working on more independent films being shot here at the time such as Witch Story in Mount Dora in 1988 and “Shakma” – the first film ever shot at the new Universal Studios Soundstages in Florida in 1990.

Being the local Make up expert he was picked to be Universl’s Sole make up contractor and started the First Halloween Horror Nights in 1990. He continued being Universal's “Make up Department” until 1994 when he began developing his own innovative Make up products in response to a growing industry.

Now Michael owns his own theatrical cosmetic business, Davy Theatrical Cosmetics, developing and formulating his own line of innovative products. It’s now 20 years later – when most are considering retirement – that Michael is still hard at work developing new ideas for an ever growing industry. He has just finished work for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Avengers 3 being filmed in Georgia, also Producing and Creating the main character in Bubba the Redneck Werewolf filmed entirely in Deland and Central Florida.

Michael now resides in Central Florida with his two children. Michaela Davy – graduated as an IB student at Deland H.S. and is now on a full academic scholarship to Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Michael Jr.  is a High School Student at University High School in Orange City.

Michael is busy as a Scoutmaster for Troop 565 in Deltona at 4towns Community Church across from Deltona High School and in continuing his family tradition of theatrical make up artistry and innovation, offering, supplies and services to Oscar winning Make-up artists and films around the world.
